Did you know Barracks Row Main Street gives out tens of thousands of dollars of grant funding every single year to businesses located within our boundaries? This program is funded in part by the DC Department of Small and Local Business Development and provides up to 70% reimbursement for eligible expenses up to a $5,000 maximum for businesses on Barracks Row.

8th Street SE Bus Priority

Project Overview

The 8th Street SE bus priority project aims to improve bus operations and safety between East Capitol Street and M Street SE. This project will identify and implement ways to improve bus service, access to bus stops, and safety along the corridor.

The project team is presenting the proposed concept at ANC meetings in September. The concept aims to address the issues identified in the needs assessment and advance the goals of improved bus service, safety, and access. The proposed concept plan is open for comment through October 10, 2023.

Barracks Row Main Street is in the process of hosting a meeting with 8th Street businesses, DDOT & Councilmember Charles Allen.
