BARRACKS ROW 2012 FALL FESTIVAL ON CAPITOL HILL

• Military Chefs Cook-Off – All Day Long! Chefs from US armed forces, including the White House, compete for Top Chef Trophy to be awarded by Commandant of the Marine Corps.

• DC State Fair - All Day Long! Winners include Funkiest-looking Vegetable Grown in DC, Best Home Brew, Best Bike Accessory, Best Pie, etc.

• Petting Zoo, Art & Crafts, Contests at Kids Zone - All Day Long!

• 10:30- 11:30 Mercedes Mill Group – Guitar/Vocalists- On Stage

• 11:45- Marine Corps Brass Quintet- On Stage

• Noon- Official Opening Ceremony of Barracks Row Fall Festival - Presentation of Colors

• Noon- The Trapeze School New York- Aerialists Perform until 4:30 p.m.

• Noon-  Home of the Commandants – Tours On the Hour; Noon - 4:00 p.m.

• 12:30-  Marine Barracks Washington - Tours on the Half Hour 12:30 -3:30 p.m.

• 12:45-  St. Marks Players Vocal Group- On Stage

• 1:30- Historic Marines from the Past – On Stage -A dozen Marines dressed in uniforms from Revolutionary War to today’s desert camo.

• 2:00- Batala -8^th and G Street at stage area -African-Caribbean Female Drum Band

• 2:30- 5:00 Washington Redskins Cheerleaders- meet for autographs and photo-op at their tent

• 2:30- Blue Sky Swing Band – On Stage; sounds of Frank Sinatra and Tommy Dorsey Free Dance Lessons, too.

• 3:30- The Georgetown Chimes- On Stage acapella concert.

• 4:45- Awards Ceremony for Military Chefs Cook Off- On Stage
