Santa swept through Capitol Hill last Saturday for his annual listening visit. Each year Santa makes a quick stop in DC just to make absolutely sure he knows what kids here want to have waiting under the tree.
This year Taoti Creative agreed to host Santa in their brand new website design studios located at 530 8th St. SE. To make Santa feel at home Taoti owner, Brent Lightner made sketches of whimsical snow-covered fir trees and Richard Sherman of Frame of Mine transformed Brent's drawings into a remarkable forest of snow laden wooden trees.
A very large blow-up Penguin joined the party and Bayou Bakery Chef David Gaus was ready for Santa, elves and fans with delicious hot chocolate (topped with homemade marshmallows) as well as hot cider. A large display of Toys for Tots gifts was assembled on Taoti's bookshelves near the Santa Letter Writing station.
Our trusty Polar Express chugged and whistled as Santa as
Santa listened to kids and reviewed their wish lists.
At 5:00PM Santa packed everyone's letters into his bag for further study before his world-famous ride on Dec 24.
More photos and the name of the winner of the toy train raffle will be released soon!
