Our annual weekend of cooking classes is back: Barracks Row Culinary Education Crawl 2017 -
Who: Chefs and restaurant owners on Capitol Hill
What: 2017 Culinary Education Crawl on Capitol Hill; twenty five cooking classes will take place at Capitol Hill restaurants!
When: For seven days, from Thursday, January 26th to Thursday, February 2nd the neighborhood becomes a cooking school campus. Build a schedule just like you did in college and sign up for classes here.
Where: The central campus is on Barracks Row. This year there is also a North Campus near Eastern Market and a South Campus at the Capitol Riverfront. Classes are easy to get to by foot, bike, Metro (Eastern Market or Navy Yard Metro) or car. If you drive, use Lot L for Capitol Riverfront restaurants. On Barracks Row there is a metered DC parking lot under Interstate 695 at 8th Street. If you are headed to Eastern Market area classes, Colonial Parking is at 600 Pennsylvania Ave, SE.
Why: Learn new, chef-taught recipes to entertain your special someone. You’ll also discover the backstory behind the restaurants of Capital Hill. With chefs and cuisines from all over the world, holiday visitors will be fascinated with an area restaurant tour!
